So, how many people have actually gotten proof that the paranormal does exist? How many of you have thought you had proof, until your evidence was shot down by someone else?
I am not an expert on anything, but I have learned a lot by talking with other groups and looking at tons of photos. I would like to think that I know what shutter speed is. Shutter speed or exposure time, refers to the amount of time the camera's shutter is open. When this happens you can see some things that look out of place and could be mistaken as paranormal. People mistake shutter speed for light anomalies all the time.
Cigarette smoke and your breath get mistaken for mists and other things as well. I am a smoker, but know better than to take a picture of cigarette smoke. I also know that when it is cooler outside, hold your breath while taking a picture. Same with the exhaust of a car. When it is cold outside you can see it and it will show up in your photos.
What about taking pictures in mirrors and windows. Are we really gonna do that? Don't we all know what a reflection is? I was once told that it is never a good idea to take a picture into a mirror or window. You have to worry about the reflection. I have seen some pretty cool pics that are said to be paranormal, but really were a reflection in a mirror.
So next we have the camera strap and for some our hair. Always pull tour hair back, take off camera straps also. When a photo is taken and you catch one of these it is often mistaken for something paranormal.
I am not perfect and had to learn this on my own. Yeah it is exciting to think you have caught something cool, but always have someone else look at it. Get that second and third opinion. Don't just assume you know what it is!
The above pictures are examples. Look closely. Cigarette smoke is first. Then we have an example of breath, although it does appear to have the shape of a face. We have moisture and finally 2 with shutter speed.
