Paranormal Tips!

So if you want some tips to be a successful paranormal group, well here ya go!

Do not charge for investigations! Why are we charging? We are here to help. I just feel that if you have to charge, you would just be taking advantage of someone in need.

Learn the equipment that you use! I wish I had a dollar for every photo I saw that could be explained as shutter speed or moisture. You do not have to be some great photographer to take great pictures, but you must know how YOUR camera works!

Do not come into this field thinking you are better than anyone else. You are not! We are all here working towards the same goal and we should really be working together. I have seen so many groups who think their shit doesn't stink and let me tell you, you are wrong!

Be open to what other people have to say. They may say something of importance. If you put your self out there you have to be open for criticism as well. That goes for your evidence too. Just because you do not know what it is, does not mean it is paranormal.

Those are just a few of my rants! Enjoy!

Hannah House Meet & Greet

I know it has been a week, but I have been busy! So the Hannah House Meet & Greet was a huge success! More than 600 people in attendance! This year by far was the best! Hats off to Danielle Garrison and all she does. She truly is Wonder Woman!

I met a lot of new people and a lot of people I have written about were there. Finally getting to actually meet them was awesome! So now comes the waiting game for next year.

If I have not written about your group and you would like me to, let me know. I would love to do it!

Proof of Paranormal Existence.

So, how many people have actually gotten proof that the paranormal does exist? How many of you have thought you had proof, until your evidence was shot down by someone else?

I am not an expert on anything, but I have learned a lot by talking with other groups and looking at tons of photos. I would like to think that I know what shutter speed is. Shutter speed or exposure time, refers to the amount of time the camera's shutter is open. When this happens you can see some things that look out of place and could be mistaken as paranormal. People mistake shutter speed for light anomalies all the time.

Cigarette smoke and your breath get mistaken for mists and other things as well. I am a smoker, but know better than to take a picture of cigarette smoke. I also know that when it is cooler outside, hold your breath while taking a picture. Same with the exhaust of a car. When it is cold outside you can see it and it will show up in your photos.

What about taking pictures in mirrors and windows. Are we really gonna do that? Don't we all know what a reflection is? I was once told that it is never a good idea to take a picture into a mirror or window. You have to worry about the reflection. I have seen some pretty cool pics that are said to be paranormal, but really were a reflection in a mirror.

So next we have the camera strap and for some our hair. Always pull tour hair back, take off camera straps also. When a photo is taken and you catch one of these it is often mistaken for something paranormal.

I am not perfect and had to learn this on my own. Yeah it is exciting to think you have caught something cool, but always have someone else look at it. Get that second and third opinion. Don't just assume you know what it is!

The above pictures are examples. Look closely. Cigarette smoke is first. Then we have an example of breath, although it does appear to have the shape of a face. We have moisture and finally 2 with shutter speed.
